Pirin Lodge — Two-Bedroom Apartment

The apartment sits on the third floor of a small, well-kept building on the quiet side of the Gondola road — close enough to walk to the lift in ski boots, far enough that you don’t hear the bars at midnight.

It faces south. In practice that means the living room fills with light from late morning, and the balcony is warm enough to sit out on with a coffee even in February. The view is straight up at Todorka.

The layout

Two double bedrooms, one of which takes an extra single bed for a child, so it sleeps five without anyone drawing the short straw and taking the sofa. One bathroom with a proper walk-in shower and good pressure. An open kitchen and living room with a working fireplace — wood is included in the winter rate.

Underfloor heating throughout, which matters more than people expect in January. There is a lift, and a ski locker in the basement with a boot dryer.

What we would tell a friend

The building’s spa is small — one sauna and a plunge pool, shared with eleven other apartments. It is genuinely nice at 5pm on a Tuesday and genuinely busy at 5pm on a Saturday. If a spa is the reason you are booking, book elsewhere. If it is a bonus after a cold day, you will be pleased with it.

Parking is one dedicated space, underground. In heavy snow that is worth a great deal.
